Rebuilding Strength and Endurance After Time Off — and Thriving in the Process

Shoutout to Wild Dog athlete Nergess — a triathlete, mom, doctor, and all-around powerhouse who’s showing up with patience and purpose.

We started working together remotely earlier this year with one goal: to get her back to triathlon training after taking time off to welcome her daughter, Layla. Together, we’ve focused on building consistency and gradually increasing load to rebuild both her aerobic base and muscular strength.

And it’s working — because Nergess is in it for the long game.

She’s a naturally process-driven athlete who shows up every week with intention. Her progress is a reflection of consistent effort, smart training, and a strong internal drive. Watching her balance motherhood, work, and training with grit and grace has been incredibly inspiring.

We’ve been using a custom triathlon run training plan with integrated strength training for runners to support performance while honoring recovery. It’s steady, sustainable progress — and she’s just getting started.
