"Abby is a very passionate, knowledgeable, and personable trainer. As a marathon runner with a demanding job, I find it difficult to find the time for training. Abby created a personalized training program that I was able to do despite my schedule, and I just ran my first ultramarathon (50k) in roughly 2.5 years."

FAQS

Have Questions?

Which program is right for me?
"Plus" icon.

Our coaching plans vary by the amount of communication, feedback, video demos, and program adjustments you want to receive within a 4 week period - weekly, biweekly, or monthly. Beginners generally benefit from more communication and feedback to expedite the learning process and for the motivation and accountability that comes with consistent personal support. Those with more experience tend to be more comfortable training with less frequent communication because they are already familiar with proper form, how to navigate different workouts, and don’t struggle with holding themselves accountable. The best way to be sure of which program is right for you is to schedule your free consultation!

How does remote coaching work?
"Plus" icon.

Once we decide which plan is best for you, you’ll receive as much additional consultation time as the coach sees fit over the phone or on video in order to gather the necessary information to craft your personalized program. Along with discussing your goals, experience, injury history, and lifestyle - we’ll also discuss where you’ll be training and what type of equipment you’ll have access to if equipment is needed for your program.  We do not skimp on this initial consultation process! The more your coach can learn about you before building your program, the better.

Once your coach has built the first 4 weeks of your program, each new athlete will receive full, daily support during Week 1 of the program, regardless of the coaching plan they’ve chosen. This ensures that we can provide feedback, answer questions, and provide guidance that will set you up for success from the start. You will communicate with your coach via text, video messages, voice messages, and/or through the app - depending on what’s needed!

The type of feedback and support each athlete needs is different - but you can expect video demos, workout adjustments, mindset coaching and accountability, and whatever else your coach can do to guide you on your way to your goals! Each coaching plan includes a phone or video call at the end of each 4 week period, to discuss the previous 4 weeks and prepare for the next 4 weeks!

Can I work out in my own gym?
"Plus" icon.

Yes! This is the beauty of remote programming and coaching. You can work out in your own gym, on your own time - without having to commute to an inconvenient location or trying to find a session or class time that works for you. We have athletes who workout in their home gyms and athletes who workout in local, public gyms. We’ll work with whatever equipment you have access to, and we can provide guidance for those beginning to build home gyms on which equipment would be the most useful investment depending on your goals.

Can you help me train for an upcoming marathon?
"Plus" icon.

Absolutely! We’ve coached endurance runners in every event from the 5K to the ultramarathon, on road and on trail. We’ve coached beginners to their first endurance event, experienced competitors to faster times or longer distances, and recreational runners who don’t have interest in racing but just want to run for their own personal health, fitness, and enjoyment. We also specialize in strength training for endurance athletes, and encourage all of our runners to incorporate strength workouts into their regular routine.

I'm a beginner, where do I start?

Just by looking for a coach, you’re already off to a great start! Working with a coach is the best thing you can do early on in your journey. With a coach in your corner you can ensure that you’re on the most effective path toward your goals, and the added personal support and accountability will help set you up for success. Your next step is scheduling your free consultation during which we can learn more about you, discuss your goals or help you set goals, and answer all your questions about training!
