Forgotten Florida 100 Mile

Old Florida. Wild Trails. 100 Miles of Grit.

The Forgotten Florida 100 Mile is a point-to-point ultramarathon through some of the state’s most beautiful and rugged trails. You’ll run through Tosohatchee, Charles Bronson State Forest, Seminole Ranch, and Little Big Econ State Forest — areas even lifelong locals rarely get to see.

This is “old Florida” at its best: palm groves, pine flatwoods, and quiet singletrack filled with wildlife and big skies. The course is 80% trail, with only two miles of pavement, making it runnable, scenic, and deceptively tough.

Why This Race Stands Out

  • Scenic & Unique: Trails most runners never touch — a true Florida adventure.
  • Point-to-Point Challenge: Start in Oviedo and finish back at Tosohatchee with a 25-mile out-and-back to close the day.
  • Wildlife Views: Cranes, spoonbills, bald eagles, and herons — expect Florida wilderness without the swamp slog.
  • Multiple Distances: 100M, 50M, 15M, and 8M options mean there’s something for every runner.
  • Community Impact: A portion of proceeds goes to the Florida Trail Association for ongoing trail maintenance.

Cutoffs: 34 hours (100M), 16 hours (50M).

How to Train for the Forgotten Florida 100

Running 100 miles on Florida terrain is different from racing in the mountains — the challenge here is sustained runnable miles, mental toughness, and staying strong through long stretches of flat, exposed trail.

To succeed, you’ll need:

  • Structured base training for long back-to-back runs
  • Strength training for runners to protect joints and build durability
  • Pacing & fueling strategy to stay efficient over 30+ hours
  • Mindset coaching for when the trail feels endless

That’s where coaching makes the difference.
