From Base Miles to District Champions — A Season Built on Grit and Strength

Timmy and Tyler have been showing up, putting in the work, and proving what’s possible when consistent strength meets focused running. Their results at Districts speak for themselves:

  • Timmy clocked a 2:04 in the 4x800m (team 2nd), a 4:39 in the 1600m (3rd), and a 10:22 in the 3200m (2nd).
  • Tyler, competing as an 8th grader against high school athletes, ran a 5:31 in the 1600m.

Both runners are year-round athletes — logging smart mileage, lifting in the off-season, and trusting the process every step of the way. Watching their strength, speed, and focus come together on race day has been a privilege.

With regionals and states on deck, we’re just getting started.

They train using one of our personalized running plans, blending mileage with strength training for runners to improve endurance, power, and injury resilience. This consistent, long-term approach is what we believe in at Wild Dog Athletics.
