Building Strength, Mechanics, and Momentum — On and Off the Road

Paula has been putting in serious work — and it’s paying off.

Over the past few months, we’ve been building strength and power in the gym, and translating that directly into more efficient running mechanics through intentional drills, cues, and structured practice. Her progress hasn’t just been physical — it’s been technical, strategic, and deeply earned.

At the recent Wellington 10 Miler, Paula showed up strong, confident, and composed — a reflection of the work she’s done to understand her stride, own her mechanics, and become a more efficient, injury-resilient runner.

Her custom running program combines mobility, strength, and form correction to improve both speed and durability. Because lifting heavier doesn’t mean much if it’s not tied to how you move on the road.

What We’ve Focused On:

  • Landing efficiency – Bringing her footstrike underneath the body to eliminate over-striding
  • Push-off mechanics – Driving from a strong, stacked position rather than pulling from out front
  • Arm carriage & posture – Closing the elbow angle and lifting from the core for sustained form
  • Pelvic stability – Using deep core engagement to stay tall and drive forward with control
  • Transfer from strength to stride – Making sure the work in the gym shows up where it counts: on the run

Paula’s becoming a more powerful, aware, and efficient runner — and we’re just getting started.
Let’s keep building. 👊🐕
